Men's Basketball Drops 76-66 Contest To Western Kentucky
November 28, 2006 | Men's Basketball
The game, BSU's final of the 2006 Las Vegas Holiday Inviational, was played at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
The Cardinals now travel to Washington, D.C. for a 7:30 p.m. game Monday at Georgetown.
"We started the game way too flat tonight," says first-year BSU head coach Ronny Thompson. "We were just too flat, especially on defense which just isn't how we play. When we were able to cut the lead, we didn't do the little things that you have to do in a close game."
Skip Mills scored a game-high 17 points to lead four Cardinals in double figures. Jalon Perryman added 13 points, Micah Rollin recorded 12 points and Anthony Newell scored 11 points.
Newell grabbed nine rebounds, while Rollin pulled in eight to lead the defensive effort.
Complete coverage of the Georgetown contest will be available online at www.ballstatesports.com. Monday's game will also be televised in Muncie on WIPB-TV (Muncie cable channel 2).
