Epkey Brothers Lose in Second Round of the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Qualifying Tennis Championships

TULSA, Okla. -- Joe Epkey (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) along with brother and teammate Jarrod Epkey (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) won their first round of doubles for the Ball State men's tennis team but lost in the second round of the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Qualifying Tennis Championships on Tuesday (Oct. 3).
The Epkey duo defeated the twosome of Benedikt Fisher and Amrit Narasimhan of Memphis 8-1 in the first round then would later lose to Bobby Cameron and Kaden Hensel of Tennessee by a score of 8-2.
Ball State's Aaron Phillips (Effingham, Ill./Saint Anthony) was originally scheduled to play with Joe Epkey but had to withdraw due to an injury.
The BSU men's tennis team will continue its fall action on Friday (Oct. 6) at the University of Louisville Invitational.
