Holst Earns ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Honors

"Amy is a tremendous player and has been a natural leader for our team," head coach Michelle Salmon said. "She not only takes care of business on the field but she is a leader in the classroom. She has elevated the BSU soccer program to a championship level both on and off of the field."
Holst owns a 3.87 grade point average in microbiology and now has earned First Team Academic All-District honors for two straight seasons. She guided the Cardinals to their first ever Mid-American Conference Regular Season Championship and a
Holst earned First Team All-MAC honors as well as she was tied for the team lead with nine goals as a central midfielder. She became just the third Cardinal all-time to record a hat trick as she accomplished the feat with three goals against MAC foe Akron. She finished the year second on the team with three game-winning goals, including the clincher against regionally ranked Northwestern.
Holst is just the second BSU women's soccer student-athlete all-time to earn Academic All-District honors from CoSIDA. She joins former BSU standout Dee Nocero as two-time recipients and is also the only recipient from the MAC this season.
