Women's Tennis Closes Out Second Day of Action at Memphis Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Ball State University women's tennis team ended day two of the Memphis Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 21).
In singles action the Cardinals Halley Calderwood fell to Marjorie Ondeck, 7-6 (5), 6-4 in the consolation finals. Also losing in the finals was Polina Askerko who fell to Katie McMiller, 7-5, 6-2 of Samford. Jennifer Pollack earned a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Erin Zafir from Memphis. Emma Retter defeated Lindsay O'Hosen 6-3, 6-1 while Rachel Surwiec lost to Christie Baker, 6-0, 6-2.
Ball State will continue action in the spring at home against Dayton on Jan. 20.
