Rein Named MAC Player of the Week

"Emily had a great weekend of soccer and this is a very deserving honor for her," head coach Michelle Salmon said. "She scored some big goals in big moments this weekend that led us to our victories."
Rein, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, notched a pair of game-winning goals in road victories at Bowling Green and Toledo. She scored an unassisted goal against Bowling Green in the 24th minute that snapped a 900-plus minute BGSU shutout streak and tallied another unassisted goal in the 50th minute of the Toledo victory.
Rein now is tied for the team lead and conference lead with five goals on the season. She has scored a goal in three straight contests for the Cardinals and is currently second in the conference with 13 points on the season.
Rein and the Cardinals will be back in action this weekend as they begin a four-game home stand. The Cardinals will host MAC rival Central Michigan on Friday afternoon at
