Julie Harder Wins Butler Invitational; Women's Golf Second Overall At Prestwick

AVON, Ind. -- The Ball State women's golf team continued its 2005 spring season Monday and Tuesday at the 2005 Butler Spring Invitational.
Junior Julie Harder posted a pair of 79s en route to medalist honors at Prestwick Golf Club in Avon, Ind. The BSU women's golf team finished second overall with a team score of 664, just two strokes behind tournament winner Oakland's 662.
Harder's two-round total of 158 was three strokes lower than Oakland's Patricia Ellsworth's 161 total.
Katie Sundberg tied for fourth overall with her 164 (83-81) total, while Amber Uphaus (87-83) tied for 10th at 170. Chelsie Flannery (83-89=172) finished 14th, while Ali Meyer (87-94) placed 26th overall.
Ball State returns to action at the William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va., this weekend.
