Mitts Earns NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region First Team Honors

Additionally, Mitts earned Soccer Buzz Magazine's Great Lakes Region Second Team honors.
A team captain, Mitts was an integral part of the team's defense which led the league with the fewest goals allowed and lowest goals against average, while also tying for the most shutouts. On the offensive end, she posted five shots, one goal and one assist during the 2005 season.
For her stellar senior campaign, Mitts earned All-Mid-American Conference First Team honors.
Additionally, Mitts helped the 2005 squad earn a NSCAA Team Academic award. Among Division I schools, Ball State tied for fourth with a 3.59 overall team grade-point average for the 2004-05 academic year.
The 2005 Cardinals concluded one of the most successful seasons in program history, posting a 15-3-2 overall record and a second-place mark in the MAC. The squad's second-place finish was matched by the 2002 team and ties as the best in school history.
