Six Soccer Players Earn All-MAC Accolades

A team captain, Mitts was an integral part of the team's defense which led the league with the fewest goals allowed and lowest goals against average, while also tying for the most shutouts. On the offensive end, she posted five shots, one goal and one assist during the 2005 season.
Ball State's starting goalkeeper, Becker played 1,814 minutes in goal with 70 saves, a 0.55 goals against average, and an .864 save percentage. She allowed only 11 goals and posted nine shutouts on the season. Becker led the league in goals against average, save percentage, shutouts and shutouts per game.
Ogden played and started in all of BSU's 20 games and tied for the third most goals on the squad with four. She registered one assist, nine points and 39 shots on the year.
Leibel led the team and the conference in shots (56) and shots per game (2.8). Her aggressive play as a forward helped her accumulate five goals, three assists, 13 points and 24 shots on goal.
Heyer posted a team-high seven assists on the year. The seven assists tied for second in the MAC. The midfielder played and started all 20 games with four goals, 15 points, 20 shots and two game-winning goals.
Rein played and started in 18 matches this season and led the team in goals and game-winning goals plus tied for the lead in points. She tied for fourth in the MAC in goals and second in game-winning goals. She accumulated seven goals, one assist, 15 points and 39 shots during the 2005 campaign.
The 2005 Cardinals concluded one of the most successful seasons in program history, posting a 15-3-2 overall record and a second-place mark in the MAC. The squad's second-place finish was matched by the 2002 team and ties for the best in school history.
