Holst, who owns the team's second-highest G.P.A., played and started in 18 games during the 2005 season and accumulated four goals, three assists, 11 points and 27 shots. The four goals and three assists tied for third on the squad, while the 11 points and 27 shots ranked fourth. She scored two game-winning goals for the Cardinals during the campaign -- against Youngstown State Sept. 4 and versus Bowling Green Sept. 30.
Senior forward Lindsay Wiltshire (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead H.S.) also earns the honor for the second time in her career after being named in 2004. Wiltshire owns the squad's third-highest GPA with a 3.858 as a pre-medicine major. She played and started all 20 matches this season and ranked second on the team with four assists. Wiltshire accumulated 21 shots, three goals, four assists and 10 points in 2005.
Junior goalkeeper Alison Becker (Bettendorf, Iowa/Bettendorf H.S.) is being honored for the first time in her career. A biology major with a 3.478 grade point average, Becker played 1,814 minutes in goal with 70 saves, a 0.55 goals against average, and an .864 save percentage. She allowed only 11 goals and posted nine shutouts on the season. Becker led the league in goals against average, save percentage, shutouts and shutouts per game.
The 2005 Cardinals concluded one of the most successful seasons in program history, posting a 15-3-2 overall record and a second-place mark in the MAC. The squad's second-place finish was matched by the 2002 team and ties for the best in school history.
