Alumni Weekend A Success

"Our turnout was the best of any of our four outings," Beals said. "The weather was great, which helped make the event a success. It was great to have our alumni back on campus to see the improvements being made and to talk about Ball State baseball."
Team Quinn, composed of former Cardinal baseball players Tom Kilgore and Chuck Laumann plus Associate Athletics Director Pat Quinn and his son Tony, won Sunday's golf outing at The Elks Golf Club by firing a 14-under 58.
Saturday's home run derby didn't go as planned, though.
"Since the wind was blowing in from the outfield, the home run derby turned into more of a batting practice for the participants," Beals said.
Beals added, "The tradition of Ball State baseball is a big part of our program and these alumni events are important to invite people back on campus. That's what makes the turnout so exciting."
