Women's Tennis Loses On The Road At Wright State, 4-3

DAYTON, Ohio - The Ball State women's tennis team suffered a 4-3 loss on the road at Wright State Sunday afternoon in the South Regency Tennis and Fitness Center. With the loss, the Cardinals drop to 3-2 on the season while the Raiders improve to 3-4.
The Cardinals took the early 1-0 lead over the Raiders after winning the doubles point. On court two, the Ball State duo of Audrey Berger and Rebecca Herrington were the first off the court after posting a 6-1 defeat over Luisa Pelayo and Grace Whitney. With two matches left, Peyton Gollhofer paired up with teammate Lilya Hadab to clinch the point with their 6-3 win over Jillian Milano and Madison Riley at the No. 3 spot.
In singles action, Wright State took five of the six singles matches from the Cardinals. Ball State had two players win singles matches, Berger won a three set thriller on court three while teammate Victoria Sec took down Grace Whitney 7-6, 6-2 at the No. 6 spot.
The Ball State women's tennis team continues non-conference action at home Saturday against Valparaiso at 4:30 p.m. in the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
