MUNCIE, Ind.,-- The Ball State Cardinals finished second place with a 191.725 at the 11th Annual Lindsey Ferris Invitational last Sunday in Washington D.C. Â
On vault Menzione notched a 9.800 landing her in fifth place overall. Freshman Arden Hudson managed a 9.775 earning her a new personal record and a sixth place finish.
Â

Â
The team finished the competition on beam. Vicky Garcia earned a new personal best with a score of 9.825 landing her a second place finish.
Â

Â
"It's going to be awesome to open our home schedule next weekend," Saleem stated. "Having three consecutive meets on the road before competing at home can be tiresome and I think the team will be happy to sleep in their own beds and are really excited to get back out in front of our home crowd. We have a lot of exciting promotions for our fans this season, so grab your seat inside the arena and prepare for some awesome gymnastics."
Â
The team will open its competition schedule at home, Sunday, Jan. 28, against Mid-American Conference opponent Kent State. For every student in attendance Team Ball State sponsor, Pepsi will donate $1.00 to Ball State Dance Marathon. Fans present will also have the opportunity to enter to win an American Girl doll. The meet will conclude with the team signing posters in the upper concourse of the arena.
