All-Access: Menzione's Move Forward

Ball State sophomore grew in leaps and bounds after Freshman tumbles
Muncie, Ind. -- Ball State gymnast Kaitlyn Menzione had quite the up and down freshman season.  She went opening her collegiate career competing sometimes on three different events, to this:
"There was a point in time where I didn't want to be a college gymnast anymore."
As a freshman Menzione competed in nine meets, but was taken off the floor when it really counted late in the season. Â She did not compete in the team's final regular season matchup, and when the time came for the Cardinals to host the Mid-American Conference Championships in March, Menzione watched from the stands. Â It was in that moment she committed herself to change. Â She committed to growing, improving and fulfilling all the promise her coaches and teammates saw within her.
This season all of that hard work and dedication has paid off. Â Menzione enters Saturday's MAC Championships set to compete in three events and having competed in the all-around eight times this winter. Â All-Access sat down with the sophomore to talk about her journey to this point and her expectations for the future.
Tickets for the MAC Championships are available through the Bowling Green ticket office and Ball State students, with their student ID, gain free admission into the meet.  Fans can follow along online on ESPN3 or with live stats.
