Track & Field's Jazmin Smith Named First Team All-MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio - - For her performance at last weekend's Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, Ball State sophomore sprinter Jazmin Smith has been named to the All-MAC First Team as announced today (Feb. 28) by the league office.

Smith was named First Team All-MAC after of capturing the league's individual title in the 60m hurdles with a career-fast time of 8.43. Ball State's first individual champion at the MAC Indoor Championships since the 2009 season, Smith is also the first Cardinals student-athlete to earn First Team All-MAC for the indoor season since 2009.

Next up for the Ball State track & field program is the start of the indoor season, which beings March 18 at the Stan Lyons Invitational hosted by Butler.
