• Today Ball State University will hold a celebration to commemorate '25 Years of Worthen Arena' with a double header. The men's basketball team is slated to host Western Michigan at 1 p.m. while the women's basketball team is set to take on Northern Illinois at 3:30 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on ESPN3.
• The Ball State women's basketball team (14-6, 7-1 MAC) continues to battle for the top spot in the Mid-American Conference West Division when it takes on divisional rival Northern Illinois (14-5, 7-1 MAC) Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Worthen Arena. The Cardinals are on a four-game winning streak and have an unblemished (4-0) home record against league opponents this season. Ball State also has a 2-0 record so far this season when playing in a double header. The Cardinals are coming off of a road win after defeating Buffalo, 89-75, Wednesday night in Alumni Arena. Junior forward Moriah Monaco registered a career high 35-points and tied her career best with eight 3-pointers in a game, which she had accomplished that same feat last season at Eastern Michigan.
• The Huskies hold a 14-5 record heading into Saturday's game and a 7-1 mark in league action. Northern Illinois has won two-straight against Miami (89-76) and Kent State (93-72). The Huskies lone MAC loss came against Akron (84-55) on Jan. 18 in DeKalb. Northern Illinois has yet to play current MAC West Division leader Central Michigan. The Chippewas are the only team that has defeated the Cardinals in MAC play by a score of 101-92 in Mount Pleasant on Jan. 11.
• Saturday's game against Northern Illinois will mark the 51st time in program history the two schools have met with Ball State leading the series 34-16. Ball State has won 19 of its last 24 meetings dating back to 2005-06. The Cardinals split with the Huskies in 2014-15 during the MAC regular season but swept them in 2015-16. Ball State defeated Northern Illinois at the Convocation Center 73-57 last year and then at home 76-68 in Worthen Arena. Ball State swept the series in 2012-13 and 2013-14 over Northern Illinois prior to the 2014-15 season. Brady Sallee currently owns an 8-1 record, against the Huskies.

Ball State returns to the road Wednesday for a Mid-American Conference cross-division match-up at Akron. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and will be play at James A. Rhodes Arena.
