Ball State will end a two-game home stand Wednesday when it hosts Eastern Michigan at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena. The Cardinals are coming off of an 80-70 victory over Akron Saturday in Worthen Arena. Ball State owns an overall record of 11-6 and has a 4-1 Mid-American Conference ledger heading into tonight's game. The last time the Cardinals began league play with a 4-1 start was in 2014-15. That year Ball State earned a MAC West title. Today's game will be streamed live on ESPN3.
Eastern Michigan comes to Worthen Arena with a 5-12 overall record and an 0-5 conference ledger. The Eagles have lost five straight all during league action after suffering setbacks at Northern Illinois (73-85) and Miami (61-72) and then at home against Toledo (49-66), Kent State (67-86) and most recently Western Michigan (67-76). The Eagles are 1-5 on the road this season.
Wednesday's game against Eastern Michigan will mark the 74th time in program history the two schools have met with the Eagles leading the all-time series, 38-34. Ball State has won seven out of the last 10 meetings over Eastern Michigan, which includes a sweep over the Eagles last season at home by a score of 76-54 and then again in Ypsilanti on Feb. 27 by a score of 67-63. The Eagles' defeated the Cardinals last season in the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament, 67-53.
Fifth year head coach Brady Sallee has guided the Cardinals to a 24-11 (.687) Mid-American Conference mark in the month of January over the course of his last four years; 2012-13 (6-1), 2013-14 (4-4), 2014-15 (6-3), 2015-16 (6-2) and 2016-17 (2-1).

Ball State returns to the road Saturday for a Mid-American Conference cross-division match-up at Bowling Green. Tipoff is set for Noon and will be play at Stroh Arena prior to the Ball State men's game versus Bowling Green.
