Cardinals coming off best performance of the season at Notre Dame

The Ball State men's golf team continues its fall schedule this week by heading to the Outer Banks for the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate hosted by Old Dominion.
The 54-hole event begins Sunday and will be played over three days at Kilmaric Golf Club in Powells Point, North Carolina. Live scoring is available at birdiefire.com.
The 18-team field also includes Akron, Bowling Green, Campbell, Delaware, Drake, Drexel, George Mason, George Washington, Hartford, La Salle, Longwood, Nebraska-Omaha, North Dakota State, Saint Francis, Saint Joseph's and UNC Wilmington.
Ball State is coming off its best result of the season with a third-place finish at Notre Dame's Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic. The team's 54-hole total of 849 was the third-best in school history.
Johnny Watts and Michael VanDeventer are coming off back-to-back top-10 finishes. They will lead a Ball State lineup that also includes Michael Makris, Keegan McKinney and Timothy Wiseman.
