Monique Govan enters her second season as director of basketball operations at Ball State for head coach Tracy Roller. Her responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of recruiting, film breakdown, and meals on the road. She also serves as the liaison for the student managers

Govan was a four-year letterwinner at Massachusetts-Amherst, where she was a tri-captain last season. A member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council at UMass, she was a two-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Cup Honor Roll.

Govan participated in the WBCA ?So You Want to be a Coach’ program and served as an assistant coach for the Springfield Pro-Am Women’s League in 2003.

The Chicago, Ill., native earned her bachelor’s degree from Massachusetts-Amherst in 2005. She is currently working toward her master’s degree at Ball State in sports administration.
