HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year team captain at Martinsville High School … as a sophomore Dorsett was named to the American Family Insurance All USA Indy-Area Softball Super Team and was First Team All-State … as a junior she was also First Team All-State with a .448 batting average, 10 home runs and a .875 slugging percentage … holds multiple program records including: most home runs in a game, most home runs in a career, highest slugging percentage in a season and most RBIs in a season … Dorsett’s athletic skills extend past softball to volleyball and basketball … earned two varsity letters in volleyball and four in basketball.

CLUB: Dorsett has played for the Indiana Gators for seven years.

WHY BALL STATE: I chose Ball State because I love the atmosphere and all the people at the university. I also feel like the coaches and the academics are a perfect fit for me!

PERSONAL: Daughter of Robin and Dave Dorsett…one half-brother (Drew) and one sister (Maci)…Dorsett hopes to study either criminal justice or pre-law with a psychology minor at Ball State.
