Jason Pressel joins the Ball State men’s tennis coaching staff this season after spending the last three years as a teaching professional in Florida, New York and England. A four-year letterwinner for the Cardinals, Pressel totaled 71 career singles victories, including a 23-6 mark versus Mid-American Conference opponents during his stint at BSU. He accumulated 69 career doubles wins, including 15 versus league opponents.
A three-time First Team All-MAC selection, Pressel teamed with two teammates to rank 24th nationally in doubles in two separate years. In 2001, he paired with Edgardo Rivera for the national distinction, while earning the high mark in 2000 with current BSU volunteer assistant coach Ryan Baxter.
Pressel, who concluded an illustrious tennis career at Ball State in 2002, was a member of the 2000 and 2001 MAC Championship teams plus the 2002 and 2000 NCAA Tournament teams.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Pressel is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Ball State.
