Osterburg comes to Ball State after playing four seasons at the University of Cincinnati. The Indianapolis native attended Perry Meridian High School where he garnered all-state accolades during his junior and senior seasons. In high school, Osterburg also claimed sectional medalist honors, all-county and all-conference honors four times while finishing second at the 2017 IHSAA State Boys Golf Tournament as a senior with a 4-under par (140).

"We are excited to welcome Nick to our Ball State family as a graduate assistant coach," Fleck said. "Nick joins us from the University of Cincinnati where he was a member of a successful men's golf program led by Coach Doug Martin.  Nick is an Indiana junior golf product and will bring very valuable perspective to our young men from his collegiate experiences as a Division I student-athlete."
