Helped Ball State’s defense contribute to a +1.31 turnover margin, which ranked fourth in the nation in 2007 . . . Tutored Brandon Crawford, a 33-year-old Marine who was a 2008 and 2009 All-Mid-American Conference Second-Team selection after being named to the third team in 2007 . . . Coached defensive end Blair Kramer to an All-MAC Second-Team selection in 2005 . . . In his final season at California (Pa.), Burnett helped the team to a ranking of 14th in NCAA Division II in total defense . . . Served as special teams coordinator in his last four years at California (Pa.), and in 2000 the special teams were the only unit to be ranked nationally in every category . . . Coached All-Americans Jon Bolan at California (Pa.) and Anthony Smith at Defiance . . . Served as the interim head coach at California (Pa.) from March through May of 2002, and was the interim head coach at Defiance from November of 1995 to January of 1996.
