Adam Siwicki joined the Ball State football program in December of 2024 as the team's defensive run-game coordinator and defensive line coach. Siwicki arrived with head coach Mike Uremovich on his Butler staff in 2022. He added recruiting coordinator to his BU title in 2023 and was tabbed as the Bulldogs' defensive coordinator prior to the 2024 campaign.
Â
Under Siwicki's guidance, Butler ranked fourth in the FCS with just 16.3 points allowed per game in 2024. In 2023, the Bulldogs were seventh nationally by allowing only 17.5 points per game. The Bulldogs recorded 15 sacks in each of the first two seasons with Siwicki overseeing the defensive line unit, and 28 in 2024. Disrupting opposing offenses at the line of scrimmage was critical for a Bulldog defense that nearly led all FCS programs in red zone defense in 2023.
Prior to Butler, Siwicki spent five seasons at Culver-Stockton, a NAIA program located in Canton, Missouri. He worked as the team’s defensive coordinator and was promoted to associate head coach in 2019 while still overseeing the Wildcat defense and working as the linebacker coach.
Â
In 2019, the Wildcats ranked fifth in passing defense and ninth in total defense among all NAIA teams. In addition, Siwicki orchestrated a defense that finished 11th in the NAIA in total sacks (34) and 18th in scoring defense (19.1 ppg).
Â
Before working at Culver-Stockton, Siwicki spent two seasons at Northern Illinois as a defensive graduate assistant working with defensive linemen. He also worked at the University of St. Francis for two years. While at USF, Siwicki served as the defensive coordinator in 2014 after coaching safeties in 2013. St. Francis finished seventh in the NAIA in total yardage allowed when Siwicki took over as DC. His first coaching job after graduation came at Montana Tech in 2012.
Â
Siwicki earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Aurora University in 2012 and a master's degree in adult and higher education from Northern Illinois in 2016. He was a second-team All-Northern Athletics Conference selection as a linebacker at Aurora and earned the Richard Rickey Award that recognizes the male senior athlete who best demonstrates leadership on and off the field as well as athletic performance.
Â
Adam and his wife Megan have two children; Blake and Noah.
