April 15, 2026 | Football
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State football program accents its spring practice schedule on Saturday, April 18 with a Spring Showcase event at Scheumann Stadium which benefits Second Harvest Food Bank and provides an early look at the Cardinals under second-year head coach Mike Uremovich. Giveaways and kid-friendly activities highlight a casual day to celebrate the look ahead to the 2026 football season.
The spring football celebration gets underway at 1:00 p.m., and will feature canned food collection bins at stadium entrances to benefit the homeless and needy served by Second Harvest. Fans may enter one hour before kickoff and take part in a "Picnic at the Park" stadium atmosphere without concessions services. Canned food bins will be located at Gates 1 and 4. Fans may bring their own lunches and snacks in adherence of Ball State's clear-bag policy. No alcoholic beverages will be permitted.
Ball State student-athletes will manage collection of all donations.
- Giveaways at the Spring Showcase include a 2026 Ball State football schedule poster, in addition to custom Ball State decals to the first 500 fans in attendance.
- Photo and face-painting booths will be located on the stadium concourse, and youth can sign up as members of the newly revamped Cardinals Kids Club.
- Following the practice, players will be available for autographs on the stadium turf.
Uremovich and the football program conduct 15 spring practice workouts that include the Spring Showcase event which features practice scenarios along with 11-on-11 contact in a variety of situational scrimmages.
