Katarina Polyviou, begins her second season as an assistant coach at Ball State after a successfull 2022 campaign that included the Cardinals making their first Mid-American Conference Tournament appearance since the 2019 season.
Prior to Polyviou's arrival in 2022 she spent a year as an assistant coach at Muhlenberg.

In just her first year with the Mules, Polyviou helped seven players earn the 2021 Fall All-Centennial Conference Team, two All-Centennial Conference honorees and Maleah Hess was named to the All-Region.

Polyviou began her coach career following a stellar four-year career as a goalie at DeSales University. Polyviou was named to the All-MAC Freedom team all four years, earning all-region second-team honors in 2017. She started 77 games in goal and set Bulldog records for goals-against average (1.89) and shutouts (14) in a career. Polyviou ranks second all-time with 424 career saves and holds the top two single-season marks for goals-against average, 1.30 in 2018 and 1.37 in 2017. She was named national defensive player of the week in 2017.

An intern in Muhlenberg's Athletic Department in the spring semester of her senior year, Polyviou graduated from DeSales in 2020 with a degree in sport management. She also served as an assistant coach for the Muhlenberg women's basketball team.
