2016 (Jr.): Appeared in 21 games, splitting time as a pitcher, outfielder and designated hitter … an injury ended his season in late April … made 11 appearances on the mound with eight starts … had one of the best starts in the nation on March 26 when he threw a complete-game shutout over Miami … he struck out a career-high 11 batters, gave up just two hits and only allowed one base runner the final four innings … also struck out 11 batters in eight innings of work against Western Michigan on April 9 … put together an eight-game hitting streak in early April … went 3-for-5 with a home run and three runs scored in the win over Ohio on April 2 … finished 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs at Indiana on April 13 … was taken by the Cleveland Indians in the 12th round of the Major League Baseball Draft.
