2016 OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD (Jr.): Competed in one meet … member of the second-place 4x400m relay which clocked in at 4:06.80 at the Stan Lyons Invitational (March 19).
2016 INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (Jr.): Competed in two meets … placed third in the long jump at the Mastodon Opener (Dec. 5) with a season-best mark of 5.18m / 17’-0” … also a member of the first-place 4x400m relay at the meet … turned in career-best times in the 60m dash (7.90) and 300m dash (42.25) at the BGSU Opener (Jan. 9).
2015 OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD (So.): Competed in seven meets … led the Cardinals in the long jump with a career-best mark of 5.85m (19’-2.5”) at the Rankin/Poehlein Invitational (May 2) … placed 15th in the long jump (5.29m/17’-4.25”) and 20th in the 100m dash (12.31) at the Mid-American Conference Championships (May 14-16) … was a member of the ninth-place 4x100m relay (47.11) and the 11th-place 4x400m relay (3:55.13) at the league meet … turned in a career-best 200m dash time of 25.47 at the Cardinal Invitational (April 17) … logged a career-best 100m dash time of 12.03 to place fourth at the Hillsdale Invitational (April 11) … opened the outdoor campaign with a season-fast 400m hurdles effort of 1:04.54 to place seventh at the USF Bulls Invitational (March 20).
2015 INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (So.): Competed in all nine meets … Second Team All-MAC … placed second in the long jump at the MAC Championships (Feb. 27-28) with a career-best leap of 5.88m (19’-3.5”) … also placed 19th in the 400m dash (1:00.46) and was a member of the 10th-place 4x400m relay (3:59.58) at the league meet … opened the season with a distance of 5.75m (18’-10.5”) in the long jump at the Jerry England Alumni Open, which was a MAC Championship automatic qualifying mark … turned in a career-fast 400m dash time of 58.26 at the Meyo Invitational (Feb. 6-7).
2014 OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD (Fr.): Competed in seven meets … placed 20th in the 400m hurdles at the MAC Championships with a time of 1:08.73 … also ran a leg for the 11th-place 4x100m relay which clocked in at 48.38 at the league meet … turned in a career-best 400m hurdles time of 1:02.55 to win the event at the RedHawk Invitational (April 26) … also a member of the first-place 4x400m relay which earn at time of 3:53.72 at the meet … posted a pair of season-bests at the Ball State Invitational (April 11), with a 100m hurdles time of 15.85 and a long jump mark of 18’-1.5” (5.52m) … the 100m hurdles time currently stands as a career-best mark … also a member of the first place 4x100m relay (48.35) and 4x400m relay (4:01.67) at Ball State’s lone home meet of the outdoor season.
2014 INDOOR TRACK & FIELD (Fr.): Competed in eight meets … placed 16th in the long jump at the MAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 28) with a leap of 17’-4” (5.28m) … also ran on the 4x400m relay which turned in a 10th-place effort of 3:52.02 … tallied season-best efforts in three events at the Indiana Wesleyan University Invitational (Jan. 18), placing second in the 60m hurdles (9.54), third in the long jump (18’-3.75” / 5.58m) and fourth in the 200m dash (27.16) … both the 60m hurdles time and 200m dash time stand as career-best efforts… also ran on the first-place 4x400m relay which crossed the line in 4:06.81 at the meet … clocked a career-fast time of 1:00.27 in the 400m dash at the Hillsdale “Wide-Track” Classic (Feb. 8).
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters in track & field at Northrop High School … helped guide Northrop to a pair of IHSAA State Titles (2012 & 2013), as well as a runner-up finish (2011) … was a 14-time All-State honoree … posted a third-place finish in the 300m hurdles at the IHSAA Championships as a senior with a career-fast time of 44.03, while also running a leg for the second-place 4x100m relay which finished in 47.92 … ran the second leg for the 4x400m relay which captured the state title with a time of 3:51.45 her junior year … also placed fifth in the long jump as a junior with a leap of 18’-2” … played volleyball for Northrop as a freshman.
PERSONAL: Has two brothers, Kyle and Mitchell … father competed in gymnastics at Central Michigan … full name is Makelle Christine Skelton … born Oct. 4, 1994 in Fort Wayne, Ind. … maintains a 3.159 grade-point average as a health science major.
