Ball State Cross Country Heads North to Kalamazoo for the George Dales Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. — After a promising start to the season at the Sam Bell Invitational in Bloomington two weeks ago, the Ball State Cross Country team will look to keep the momentum in full swing when they head to Kalamazoo, Michigan for the George Dales Invite hosted by Western Michigan University.
It was the underclassmen who led the way for the Cardinals with sophomores Emily Decker and Michigan native Kaitlyn Kauppila finishing in 15th and 16th. Freshman Carla Rodriguez crossed the line third for the Cardinals just ahead of another Michigander, sophomore Sadey Seyferth. Freshman Abra Mills rounded out the top five for the Cardinals ahead of Ava Dickenson, Elaina Lahmers and Gemma Pusateri.
The Cardinals' focus now turns to Kalamazoo where they will face a field of 12 other teams, including 5 from the Mid-American Conference. The meet also serves as an opportunity for Ball State to get a feel for the course as they return to the same place for the MAC Championship on October 30th.
The race is set to begin at 10 a.m. EST as the Cardinals look to keep up their promising start to the season.
