Several Cardinals Honored at MAC Awards Banquet

CLEVELAND - - Several members of the Ball State athletics department were honored Thursday night (May 28) at the annual Mid-American Conference Awards Banquet, including the Cardinals taking home the 2024-25 MAC Cartwright Award.

MAC Medal Of Excellence:
Ball State swimmer Payton Kelly and tennis player Jacks Lancaster are among 26 Mid-American Conference (MAC) student-athletes will be presented with the Medal of Excellence Award during the 2026 Honors Dinner Ceremony at the Cleveland Hotel as part of MAC Spring Meetings on Thursday, May 28th.

MAC Hall of Fame:
Former Ball State men's tennis coach Bill Richards has been selected for induction into the Mid-American Conference Hall of Fame, as announced today by the Mid-American Conference.

2024-25 MAC Cartwright Award:
The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced today the presentation of the Dr. Carol A. Cartwright Award to Ball State University for its program excellence in academics, athletics, and citizenship during the 2024-25 school year. This marks the first time in program history that the Cardinals have earned this prestigious honor.
