MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State men's tennis long-time head coach Bill Richards announced the signing of Jacks Lancaster (Bowling Green, Ky./Greenwood High School) to a national letter of intent during the early signing period, which opened Nov. 10.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of Jacks," Richards said. "He has had a very good Junior career and is a solid national level player as indicated by his rankings and national results. He is at a level where he will have a great chance to contribute his freshman year. He is a lefty which is always nice to have. He hasn't had a lot of players at his level to train within his home area so I believe he will continue to improve significantly when he gets into our training routine. He is also a great student which is very important to us. I look forward to working with Jacks and having him as a part of our program."
A four-star recruit, Lancaster is currently ranked 136 in the nation and second in the state of Kentucky according to Tennisrecruiting.net. At one point this summer, Lancaster had a 116th national ranking.
As a junior, Lancaster won a regional title in singles and was runner-up in the Kentucky State High School tournament.
