MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State's baseball home opener, scheduled for Friday against Central Michigan, has been moved one hour earlier to 1:00 p.m., due to early darkness anticipated during the 5:00 hour. The Cardinals, on the road during the first three weeks of the season, host their home and Mid-American Conference opener, Friday, as the first of three games against the Chippewas.
First pitch for all three games of the series -- Friday, Saturday and Sunday -- is now scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
Friday's opener also marks the beginning of Ball State's new, 26-game broadcast schedule, with WMUN Radio (92.5 FM and 1340 AM) carrying live action of every Cardinals home game. Voice of the Cardinals Mick Tidrow calls the action for Friday's game, with Jim Leisure providing color analysis.
