- Four-year letterwinner at Yorktown High School under head coach Tony Santino.
- Competed primarily in the 100 fly and 200 free.
- Team captain his junior and senior years as well as team MVP.
- Swam personal best times during prelims in the 200 freestyle (1:40.91) and 100 butterfly (48.92) at the IHSAA State Championship (Feb. 28 – March 1) his senior year, qualifying for the B and A Finals in each respective event.
- Swam for the Cardinal Community Swim Club for nine years under head coach Tony Santino.
