Driscoll Ends Season With Solid Run at NCAA Lexington Regional
May 07, 2025 | Women's Golf
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. - - Ball State junior Jasmine Driscoll closed her 2024-25 campaign with an impressive overall performance at the 2025 NCAA Lexington Regional, finishing play on the Champion Trace at the Keen Trace Golf Club with a 54-hole score of +15 (231).
Â
Driscoll's effort is the best final score for a Ball State women's golfer in regional play in program history, one stroke better than the +16 (232) shot by Jenna Hague at the 2014 Central Regional played at the Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Â
"Now that the season is over, I think we can take a step back and really appreciate the season Jasmine had," head coach Cameron Andry exclaimed. "Two event wins, an NCAA Regional appearance and First Team All-MAC honors  just to name a few. This season will certainly go down as one of the best individual seasons in Ball State history and she has certainly given us all a lot to be proud of."
Â
After tying the lowest individual round in regional play in program history with a +3 (75) Tuesday, Driscoll closed the event with a +8 (80) Wednesday. She opened with what was the second-best round in a regional in the Ball State record books with a +4 (76) Monday.
Â
"Jasmine earned it all too," Andry added. "She put in the work every day and upgraded nearly every area of her game this season. I'm already excited to see what she can do next season!"
Â
Despite a pair of rough holes Wednesday, Driscoll was able to collect four more birdies in her last tour of the par-72, 6,322-yard Champion Trace. It was her most birdies in a round at the Lexington Regional and raised her total to nine for the three-day event.
Â
"Jasmine had to fight today," Andry said. "Her ball striking was a bit off, so today was an uphill battle but she gave it her all and still had some highlights with four birdies."
Â
Starting on the back nine for the third straight round, Driscoll collected her first birdie on the par-5, 515-yard 11th. She added her second birdie right before the turn on the par-4, 342-yard 18th.
Â
After making pars on three of the next four holes, Driscoll carded her third birdie on the par-5, 422-yard fifth. It was her second birdie of the tournament on the hole.
Â
Perhaps her best birdie of the day followed three holes later, when she sunk a 30-foot putt on the par-5, 486-yard eighth. The effort gave her three birdies on the courses four par 5 holes Wednesday.
Â
With her regional results, Driscoll finished the 2025 season with a 75.19 stroke average over her 32 rounds which is the fourth-lowest season stroke average in program history. In addition, she finished her junior season with a 75.97 career stroke average which is first in program history.
