May 06, 2025 | Women's Golf
NICHOLSAVILLE, Ky. - - It was another strong day on Champion Trace for junior Jasmine Driscoll who closed with birdies on two of her final three holes to earn a score of +3 (75) in the second round of the NCAA Lexington Regional at the Keene Trace Golf Club.
Â
The effort ties as the lowest round in an NCAA Regional in program history with the +3 (75) Brittany Kelly shot in her final round of the 2011 Central Regional at the Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Indiana.
Â
After shaving one stroke off her opening-round effort of +4 (76), Driscoll remains tied for 42nd overall among the 68-golfer field with a 36-hole score of +7 (151).
Â
Once again starting on the course's back nine, Driscoll earned par on her opening hole and added four more pars to make the turn at +4 (40). She then started the front nine with five consecutive pars, before briefly falling to +5 with a bogey on hole six.
Â
She recovered nicely, however, stuffing her wedge shot for her first birdie of the round on the par-4, 353-yard seventh hole. After making par on eight, she closed her round by dropping a 35-foot putt for birdie on the par-3, 151-yard ninth.
Â
Overall, Driscoll has registered five birdies and 19 pars over her first 36 holes. The five bridies are tied for 26th among the field and she is tied for 11th among the field in par 3 average a E (3.00).
Â
Florida State's Mirabel Ting, the No. 1 player in the country according to the Scoreboard rankings, continues to lead the field at -8 (136), helping the Seminoles to a nine-stroke lead over the 12 teams in the field at -14 (562).
Â
Driscoll closes play in the NCAA Lexington Regional starting at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday with her third and final start of the tournament coming off hole 10.
