Carter Smith Named Second Team All-MAC in Men's Golf

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Junior men's golfer Carter Smith has been named a second team Mid-American Conference all-league selection, as voted by MAC coaches and announced by the MAC on Friday.
 A first-team selection last season, Smith finished 10th in last week's MAC Championships conducted at Pinnacle Golf Club, southwest of Columbus, Ohio. It was his third top-10 finish this season.
The native of Sellersburg, Indiana, averaged 73.00 strokes per round this season, just off his pace of 72.78 last year that was seventh-best in program history. He has been a part of three consecutive Ball State squads to finish first or second in the MAC Championships.
