Men’s Tennis Hosts NIU and UIC in MAC Regular Season Finale this Weekend

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team will close out its Mid-American Conference regular season action this weekend at home against Northern Illinois (Thursday) and Illinois-Chicago (Saturday).
First serve for both matches will be at 1 pm ET and will be held at the Foster Adams Family Tennis Complex and Bill Richards Tennis Courts, weather permitting. If inclement weather occurs, the tennis match will be moved indoors to the Ball State Tennis facility.
The Cardinals enter this week's league action with an overall record of 10-2 and a 3-5 MAC mark. The Huskies come to Ball State with an 8-13 ledger and 1-7 record in league play while UIC is 14-5 on the year and 5-3 in conference play.
Ball State defeated Northern Illinois 6-1 on March 13 in DeKalb, Ill. In its first meeting and then fell to the UIC flames on March 15 by a 6-1 decision in Chicago.
Against the Huskies, the Cardinals took the doubles point then took five of the six singles matches. The Cardinals defeated the Flames in doubles for their lone point of the match.
Currently, the Cardinals sit in fourth place in the MAC standings while the Huskies are in sixth and UIC sits in second.
After this weekend, the Ball State men's tennis team will await its fate to the upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament which will be held on the campus of Western Michigan in Kalamazoo from April 19-20.
