
Gymnastics Places 10 on Academic All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND - -Â The Ball State gymnastics program placed 10 student-athletes on the 2025 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team as announced by the league office Tuesday (April 15).

Of the 10 honorees, graduate student Hannah Ruthberg earned the honor for the fourth time in her collegiate career, while senior Grace Sumner was named to the team for the third time.

Ball State's eight other selections are all first-time honorees: senior Cai Afalla, junior Mary Rose Bellan, sophomore Lindsay Fuller, senior Carissa Martinez, sophomore Delaney McMahon, sophomore Ava Molina, junior Alauna Simms and sophomore Ashley Szymanski.

A total of 65 student-athletes earned the Academic All-MAC distinction in gymnastics by maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA and participating in at least half of the team's contests for the season. First-year students and transfer students in their first year of residence at their current institution are not eligible for the award.
