Jacks Lancaster Earns MAC Co-Singles Player of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Junior Jacks Lancaster of the Ball State men's tennis team garnered Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honors for his performances at Toledo and Buffalo this past weekend.

Lancaster posted a 2-0 MAC ledger las week, winning both his singles matches against Toledo and Buffalo. Lancaster started the week with a straight frame take down at No. 2 singles over the Rockets' Matias Olivero, 6-4, 6-2 helping the Cardinals propel to a 5-2 victory over the Rockets.

On Saturday, Lancaster continued his winning ways taking a tough first set tiebreaker on court No. 2 versus Buffalo's Cheng Tang. 7-6 (4). Lancaster then finished Tang off winning the second frame by a score of 6-1.

The Ball State men's tennis team will take a 10-8 overall record and 3-4 conference slate into Friday's match against Western Michigan which will played at home on Friday, April 4 at 1 pm ET. Prior to the match, the Cardinals will pay tribute to their five seniors.
