
Women's S&D Places 14 On Academic All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND - - The Ball State women's swimming & diving program placed 14 student-athletes on the 2024-25 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team as announced by the league office Sunday (March 30).Â

Of Ball State's 14 honorees, graduate student Laura Wright earned the honor for the fourth time in her career, while seniors Lilia Newkirk and Eliza Bader earned the honor for a third.Â

Six Cardinals were named for the second time, including juniors Payton Kelly, Alyssa Messenger, Haley Sakbun, Kiran Stauffer and Callie Tuma.Â

Earning the honor for the first time in their careers were sophomore Leelah Fettig, junior Hannah Justice, sophomore Natalie Marshall, sophomore Kayla Newman, sophomore Julia Ofman and sophomore Alexa Von Holtz.Â

A total of 158 student-athletes earned the Academic All-MAC distinction in women's swimming & diving by maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA and participating in at least half of the team's contests for the season. First-year students and any college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
