Men’s Tennis Plays on the Road This Weekend Against Xavier and Cleveland State

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team will take a 4-2 record to Cleveland this weekend as the Cardinals face Xavier (2-5) on Saturday and Cleveland State (0-5) on Sunday.
The neutral sight match against the Musketeers begins at 2 pm ET on Saturday and then first serve for the match versus the Vikings begins at 11 am ET Sunday. Both matches will take place at the Medical Mutual Pavilion.
The Cardinals look to extend their win streak to five after beating Illinois State, (4-3), Dayton (5-2), Eastern Illinois (7-0) and Butler (4-3). BSU's only losses came against Big Ten foes Michigan (7-0) and Indiana (4-3).
Ball State owns a 12-3 series ledger against the Musketeers dating back to 2005-06. The Cardinals won their last meeting against Xavier last season by a 5-2 decision in Cincinnati on Jan. 24, 2024. BSU is 7-5 versus the Vikings since the 2013-14 season. Ball State defeated Cleveland State 5-2 in their last meeting which took place in Muncie on February 10, 2024.
After this weekend, the Cardinals will return home for a double-header on Saturday, Feb. 22 when BSU hosts IU Indy at 12 pm ET and then IU East at 5 pm ET or following the first match of the day. Both matches will be played at the Northwest YMCA
