February 10, 2025 | Baseball, Softball
The Ball State baseball and softball teams have announced their games to be broadcast on ESPN+ this spring.
The baseball team is slated to hold 10 games on ESPN+ at Ball Diamond, including full series against Toledo (March 14-16) and Miami (May 15-17). Additionally, midweek games vs Valparaiso (March 18), Butler (March 19), USI (March 25) and Purdue (May 13) can also be seen on ESPN+.
The softball team has nine games on ESPN+, featuring home series against Toledo (March 21-22), Northern Illinois (April 1) and Miami (April 11-12). Softball's home opener vs Purdue Fort Wayne on March 11 will also be streamed on the platform.
Both teams are coming off runs to Mid-American Conference Championship game in 2024, as baseball went 35-23-1 (18-12 MAC) to earn the No. 3 seed and softball (29-29, 12-13 MAC) rallied from the No. 6 seed to advance to the title game in head coach Helen Pena's first season leading the program. Baseball head coach Rich Maloney enters the year 12 wins shy of 1,000 for his career.
Softball opened the season 3-1 at the Mustang Classic in San Luis Obispo, Calif., while baseball begins its schedule on Friday at the Swig & Swine College Classic in Charleston, S.C.
