November 03, 2025 | Women's Volleyball
CLEVELAND, Ohio - - For the third time this season, Ball State women's volleyball setter duo of Lindsey Green and Reese Axness have been named the Mid-American Conference Setter Pair of the Week.
Â
The pair earned the honor for helping the Cardinals become the first team to secure a berth in the 2025 MAC Volleyball Championship by guiding the offense to a league-leading .313 team attack percentage last week. Ball State boasted a 3-0 record in MAC play last week, earning a Tuesday sweep over Miami and a pair of wins at Kent State over the weekend.
Â
Highlighting the week was a Saturday sweep at KSU in which the Cardinals connected for the ninth-best single match attack percentage in program with a .437 rate of success.
Â
Green reached a milestone moment in last Friday's 3-1 victory versus the Golden Flashes, becoming just the 17th player in program history to dish out over 1,000 career assists. Green, who also led Ball State with eight service aces over the three matches, averaged 6.80 assists, 1.50 digs and 0.30 kills per set for the week. Axness averaged 4.90 assists, 1.10 digs and 0.10 aces per set last week.
Â
The Ball State women's volleyball team closes the road portion of its 2025 regular season slate this week with a pair of matches at Eastern Michigan. The Cardinals and the Eagles will square off at 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Gervin GameAbove Center.
