Women's S&D Travel to IU Indy for 2025 House of Champions

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women's swimming and diving program is set to travel to the IU Natatorium for competition at the 2025 House of Champions, hosted by IU Indy. The three-day meet takes place Nov. 20-22, with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. and finals beginning at 5 p.m. each day. Diving sessions will take place at 12:30 p.m.
The other competing teams at House of Champions include IU Indy, Lewis, Milwaukee, UIC, Missouri State, Lynn, Northern Kentucky, Saint Louis, Southern Indiana, Montevallo, Butler, and Little Rock.
The last time the women competed at the House of Champions invitational during the 2023-24 season, the Cardinals took first place out of 13 teams with 1,122 points. Ball State finished well ahead of second-place Milwaukee (935.5) and third-place Little Rock (920). Alexa Von Holtz saw three individual event wins in the 200 IM (2:00.85), 400 IM (4:21.75) and 200 Butterfly (2:00.06). Holtz's time in the 200 IM still stands as the current program record.
Ball State hosted Ohio (Nov. 7) and Bellarmine (Nov. 8) inside the Lewellen Aquatic Center, narrowly falling behind the Bobcats (152-148) but dominating Bellarmine (158-47) the following afternoon in an 11-event sweep. Payton Kelly earned three individual event wins that weekend in the 100 Backstroke (55.41), 100 Freestyle (50.29) and 50 Freestyle (23.05), earning Lewellen Pool records in all three events. Her efforts earned her the honor of the Mid-American Conference's Swimmer of the Week.
Grace Walker swept the boards against Ohio and claimed another NCAA Zone Diving qualifying mark on the 3-meter board (298.65) in a non-scored diving dual meet against UIndy at home (Nov. 8). Walker claimed her first career MAC Diver of the Week honor for her performances.
