Baseball Hosting First Pitch Dinner Feb. 1 at the Alumni Center

The Ball State baseball team is hosting its First Pitch Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Ball State University Alumni Center, which will feature guest speaker Jon Kessick, who was a member of the 1998 and 1999 Mid-American Conference Championship teams and a former third round draft pick by the Baltimore Orioles.
Tickets can be purchased at the link above, with general admission for $75 and ages 18 and under for $25. Cardinal tables go for $550.
The evening's festivities include a team autograph session, where the first 300 kids get a free schedule poster, starting at 5 p.m., followed by a social hour at 6 p.m. and buffet dinner at 7 p.m. The night concludes with the introduction of the 2025 team, Kessick's speech and Coach Rich Maloney's closing remarks.
Ball State went 35-23-1 (18-12 MAC) last season to earn a No. 3 seed in the conference tournament, where the Cardinals advanced to the championship game. First Team All-MAC selection and MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year Keegan Johnson and Second Team All-MAC first baseman Blake Bevis headline the returners from last year's squad.
