September 05, 2024 | General
MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State University Director of Athletics Jeff Mitchell has announced the elevation of five athletics administration officials who have been promoted to new posts to begin the 2024-25 sports calendar.
Emma Kumar has served the Cardinals since 2021 and has shifted from a prior role as a development officer in conjunction with the Ball State Foundation. She was appointed as Ball State Athletics' senior women's administrator last year, and now assumes a full-time position as senior associate athletic director for revenue generation.
Dr. Lindsey Blom has also been elevated to senior associate athletic director, after her naming last year as associate AD for championship performance. She was a longtime Ball State faculty member who previously served as the program's faculty athletic representative.
Ryne Hillenberg, a 2008 Ball State graduate who has headed the program's compliance department since 2019, has earned the title of senior associate athletic director for compliance. He was promoted to assistant AD in 2020.
Isaac Shell, who oversees Ball State's athletic facilities and game management services, has been promoted to assistant athletic director for internal operations. Kirsten Rich has been elevated to director of internal operations.
"We win with our people," said Mitchell. "I am grateful for the contributions of Emma, Lindsey, Ryne, Isaac and Kirsten as we continue to develop our staff to best serve our student-athletes and coaches."
