Driscoll Claims MAC Women’s Golfer of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND - - After her run to the Brittany Kelly Classic individual title, Ball State junior Jasmine Driscoll has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
Driscoll, who picks up the honor for the first time in her career, claimed her first collegiate title by five strokes, shooting -5 (211) to win the Brittany Kelly Classic host by Ball State at The Players Club at Woodland Trails in Yorktown, Indiana.
Her five-stroke win was the largest margin of victory in the three-year history of the event, and helped the Cardinals claim an 11-stroke win over the 12-team field.
After shooting E (72) in the opening round, Dricsoll tied the lowest round of her career at -4 (68) in the second. She closed the event with a -1 (71), with her 54-hole final score of -5 (211) being the best of her collegiate career, five strokes better than her previous mark.
Overall, Driscoll led the 72-player field with 16 birdies, three more than the next closest player, and finished the event ranked first in par 3 average (-3 / 2.67), second in par 5 average (-5 / 4.44), and fifth in par 4 average (+3 / 4.08).
