Chris Radican Named New Football Radio Analyst

Ball State Athletics and Learfield have announced the addition of Ball State football alum Chris Radican as the football radio analyst for the 2024 season.

"Chris is an excellent addition to our broadcast team," said Voice of the Cardinals Mick Tidrow. "He has the background and knowledge from his time suiting up for the Cardinal and White, paired with his vast coaching resume. Chris' personality is infectious and Cardinals fans are going to enjoy hearing him on the air!"

A four-year offensive lineman for the Cardinals from 1988-91, Radican recently retired from coaching high school in the state of Indiana after 28 years. His stops included Beech Grove, Speedway, Guerin Catholic, Pike, Noblesville and Hamilton Southeastern.

During his coaching career, Radican served as an offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, offensive line coach, defensive line coach, running backs coach and tight end coach.

"As a proud Ball State football alum, I am beyond excited to be joining the Cardinals' football broadcast team," Radican said. "The program has a special place in my heart, and I look forward to being able to reach others that enjoy the games each week. I am humbled to be given this opportunity and cannot wait for the 100th season of Ball State football. Chirp Chirp!"

While at Ball State, Radican and Head Coach Mike Neu were teammates for two seasons.

Radican lives in Noblesville, Indiana and is married to his wife, Krista, who is a Muncie native. They have two daughters, Anna and Delaney.Â

Tidrow and Radican can be heard on the Cardinals Gainbridge Audio Network from Learfield. Tune in to WMUN 92.5 FM/1340 AM, the WMUN app or on ballstatesports.com/watch. The duo's first game is September 7 when Ball State hosts Missouri State in its 100th season opener.Â
