Four Cardinals Earn All-MAC Honors and Rogers Named Most Outstanding Field Performer

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its end of the year awards, revealing four Cardinals on the first team All-MAC honors list.
Recipients include Ball State's Moriah Johnson, Alana Springer, Makayla Sumrall and Jenelle Rogers.
Johnson and Sumrall both had excellent races in the 100-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay. In the 100, Sumrall ran an impressive time of 11.25 to secure gold. Johnson finished sixth with a time of 11.61. In the 4x100-meter relay, Johnson ran the first leg of the race while Sumrall ran the final leg, clinching the win for the Cardinals.
Springer also competed in the 100 and 4x100-meter relay, as well as the 200-meter dash. She finished second in the 100-meter dash, running a time of 11.42. In the 200, Springer finished fourth with a time of 23.89.
Rogers had a strong weekend start to finish, leaving with six podium finishes which included three gold medals, a silver medal and a bronze medal. Following the meet, Rogers was named the women's MVP of the season. She was also voted Most Outstanding Field Performer of the year.
Overall, the Cardinals earned 103 points and finished third among their competitors.
