Alex Richard Earns MAC Player of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - For the first time in her career, junior Alex Richard (Avon, Ind./Avon) has been tabbed the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week.
Richard continues to be a big impact in the paint for the Cardinals as she led them in scoring in both contests this week. Richard began the week with a 17-point performance to lift Ball State past Kent State on ESPNU Wednesday night. She then led the Cardinals with 18 points at Buffalo Saturday to help Ball State to its 27th win of the season as the Cardinals broke the program's single-season win record. She also helped Ball State to 16 MAC victories which is also a program best.
For the week, Richard averaged 17.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds while shooting 60 percent from the field.
