Women's Basketball Hosts In-State Rival IU Indy Friday in Worthen Arena

- Ball State and IUPUI have met 10 times, with the Cardinals leading the all-time series, 8-2. Ball State and IUPUI's last meeting was in 2023 in Indianapolis. The Cardinals won that contest, 67-63.
- Both the Cardinals and the Jaguars look to remain undefeated as both squads won their respective season openers. Ball State defeated Old Dominion by a score of 60-46 Monday night in Worthen Arena while IU Indy took down Evansville on Tuesday by a 101-76 decision.Â

Kiefer just needs nine more blocks to become the Ball State women's basketball programs' all-time leader in that category.
- Ball State's focus has always been points in the paint under 13th year head coach Brady Sallee. The Cardinals acoomplished that goal against the Monarchs on Monday outscoring ODU in the paint, 38-24.Â
- The first time IU Indy and Ball State met was on Jan. 8, 1979 in Muncie which resulted in a 72-56 victory for the Cardinals.Â
- Head Coach Brady Sallee owns a 3-2 record against the Jaguars dating back to 2019.Â
- Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) became Indiana University Indianapolis (IU Indianapolis) on July 1, 2024. The transition began in 2022 when Indiana University and Purdue University announced that IUPUI would split into two separate universities.
- Ball State had a highly successful 2023-24 season under the direction of head coach Brady Sallee who is entering his 13th season.Â
- The Cardinals tallied 28 overall wins and 16 MAC victories, with both being program records.Â

The Cardinals remain home when it hosts the Memphis Tigers on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in Worthen Arena at 6:30 p.m. ET. Ball State and Memphis have met once which was in the second round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament in 2022-23. The Cardinals fell to the Tigers by a score of 79-62.
